Life Has Many Facets
To my daughter on the day I marry
Life has many facets each a shining memory,
like the day that you were born and I held you close to me.
From that moment forward and as I've watched you grow,
you've brought to me more joy than I thought I'd ever know.
So on the day I marry who else but you would be,
the one to bring me joy and to share this day with me.
For life has many facets, one begins and others end,
but the brightest of them all is my daughter who's my friend.
You are a wonderful Daughter

Becoming a Family
Life has many facets each a shining memory,
like the day that you were born and I held you close to me.
From that moment forward and as I've watched you grow,
you've brought to me more joy than I thought I'd ever know
So on the day we marry, who else but you would be,
the one to bring me joy and to share this day with me.
We are on a journey, as a family we unite,
knowing we're together, with our hearts now shining bright.
For life has many facets, one begins and others end,
but the brightest of them all is this family as we blend.

To My Stepdaughter
The day that I marry our families will blend,
you'll be my stepdaughter and also my friend.
It's so very special to know you will be,
a part of my life, a blessing to me.
It's just the beginning of our brand new life,
