To My Sister, My Maid of Honor
I wish that I could tell you exactly what it means,
to have a special sister who has shared in all my dreams.
Now, on the day I marry you will be the one to stand,
as my maid of honor near me close at hand.
Of memories we've shared this day just would not be,
the one that I had dreamed of without you next to me.
And though our lives keep changing I will still look forward to,
all the many things we'll share as only sisters do.

Learning and loving, secrets and shoving,
growing closer with each passing year.

For My Big Sister On My Wedding Day
When we were little I always knew,
someday I'd grow up to be just like you.
You had a way of making me feel,
that all you did had special appeal.
The first to wear makeup, the first to the prom,
the first broken heart, the first to be strong.
I just couldn’t wait to catch up to you,
but the more I learned the more that you knew.
To have a big sister is really a gift,
someone to lean on when you need a lift.
No longer little but one thing is true,
